Thomas Dalton, MD

Dr. Dalton practiced anesthesiology for over 30 years in Wilmington, NC. He has been involved in short term international poverty related health care for his entire medical career. He studied at Stanford (BS), Duke (MD) and Harvard (Internship) and specialized in regional anesthesia and operating room efficiencies. In 2023, his work at Eden Village was awarded Rotary International’s Leaders in Service Award and the Wilmington Business Magazine’s top 100 Innovators.
Kimberly Dalton, BSN

Secretary, Home Team and Volunteer Coordinator
Kim Dalton has a BSN in nursing from the University of Missouri and has accompanied Dr. Dalton on many international health care related mission trips. She has raised three children and started a nursing program at Cape Fear Academy K-12 where she served on the Board of Directors. She has been a Deacon in her local church and has served on several local charity boards.
Andrew “Drew” Houston
Treasurer, Finance Committee
Andrew “Drew” Houston is a highly experienced CPA with 35 years in the field and 25 years as a partner at Williford Houston & Co., CPAs, PLLC. A graduate of the UNCW with a Bachelor of
Science in Accounting, he has built a respected career in tax planning, financial analysis, and
business advisory services. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Drew has been deeply
involved in community service, having served as a deacon and treasurer at First Baptist Church
of Carolina Beach and as a board member for the American Red Cross.
Steve Coggins
Finance Committee, Endowment Manager, Human Resources Committee
Steve Coggins has spent almost 40 years in financial services. After a twelve-year career in
commercial banking, Steve became a financial advisor. He has helped individuals and
organizations around the country make good financial decisions. Steve co-founded IronGate
Partners, where he served as the Chief Investment Officer and oversaw operations prior to the
firm being acquired by CAPTRUST in 2022. Steve has chaired the board of several non-profits in the Wilmington area and has been the treasurer of a church. He has also been on the board of
a local foundation for many years.
Keith Miller
Construction and Maintenance Committee
Keith Miller has led Future Homes, a $30,000,000 annual residential builder in Eastern NC for
over 28 years, as president and CFO. A 1990 graduate of the University of North Carolina in
Chapel Hill, Keith is one of the founders and leaders of Surf church. He is also actively involved
with Port City Community Church, Hope Community Church, Search, and F3, a men’s leadership training organization.
Bert Exum
Construction Committee
Bert Exum has over 35 years of experience in planning, developing, sales and marketing of residential communities. Bert and his family are recognized as one of the Carolinas leading developers with having developed over 100 communities, built homes for over 3000 families and developed over 2500 homesites in the Carolinas. He has been an Elder in the Presbyterian Church for over 30 years and has been involved in multiple local, national and international missions and organizations.
Leslie Tinsley
Home Team Committee, Events Committee
Leslie Tinsley holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a proud mother of four and grandmother of two. She served on the youth committee at her local church where she organized a weekly feeding ministry that provided 100 meals per week at the Mercy House. In addition, Leslie has led numerous domestic and international church mission trips. Together with her husband, Ellis, she sponsors a house at Eden Village and serves on the Home Team for the Tinsley Surgical House.
Kyle Kinder
Construction Committee
Kyle Kinder served in the Marines from 2007-2011 reaching the rank of Corporal. He was an operator and crew chief of an amphibious assault vehicle. After the Marines he worked and went to night school to get his bachelor’s in business at University of Mount Olive. He has been in the commercial construction field since 2014 and has been with Monteith Construction since 2017 and has led multiple multi-million new build projects in Wilmington, NC.
Mackenzie Webber
Home Setup Committee and Events Committee
Mackenzie Webber holds an MS in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins
University and a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from Washington and Lee University. She works as a Software Product Owner at Global Environmental Consulting. She has traveled to more than 85 countries and spent significant time doing mission work in Africa and Central America, where she was first inspired to pursue work in environmental protection and drinking water quality. Mackenzie volunteers with Eden Village of Wilmington, assisting with home setup, and process improvements. She grew up in Wilmington and cares deeply about
strengthening her local community.
Amy Staas
Finance Committee
Amy Staas has over 30 years of finance experience supporting small to medium sized businesses with financial strategy, forecasting, accounting, and strategic plan development. For 10 years, she held various senior financial positions at Software.com and Openwave Systems, managing an initial public offering and a multi-billion-dollar merger. For the last 20 years, Amy has run her own business providing outsourced CFO services to technology and biotech startups leading them through funding rounds and acquisitions. She holds a B.A in Political Science from Boston College and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Outside of work, Amy was very involved in St Raymond Catholic Church and School in California serving as chair of the finance council for the church and school, live auction chair, Mother’s Club President, and volleyball coach. She was also involved in the National Charity League and the Ambassadors for Stanford Children’s Hospital.
